PROGRAMME STRUCTURE:
PROGRAMME CONSTITUTION

The ideal group size on each boat is eight, with two or three boats making up each programme. This can, however, be varied to meet individual requirements and boats which accommodate larger numbers can be chartered.

PROGRAMME STAFF

Each boat is staffed by a Tutor, who manages the projects and is responsible for the learning. A qualified Skipper (who supervises the sailing activity) is responsible for safety.

The Tutors are experienced business people, many of them practising managers, who have the personal skills to enable others to learn and develop, and have an understanding of (and can make connections with) current business issues.

PROGRAMME DURATION

Courses vary in length from one day to four and a half days. Whilst much can be achieved in a short period of time, as a result of the power and impact of the coaching method, the longer the programme the greater the opportunity to tackle and resolve specific work issues and to maximise the return on the training investment.

PROGRAMME TIMING

Programmes are run throughout the year. The sheltered waters of Southampton Water and the Solent, coupled with land based activities and the use of hotels for overnight accommodation, ensures that programmes are not adversely affected by the season or weather conditions.
